Pushing into her eighth decade, every bit of it has been about her purpose and her relentless quest to become a Mystress of the human condition and make life count.  She wonders why there is no feminine version of the verb "to master" and why master and mistress have such different connotations.  She sometimes gets a bit pissed off about that.
