I was born in Canada now a resident and citizen of the UK. Throughout my childhood I suffered with ongoing dental issues, was frightened of the dentist so I'm empathetic to the subject. . In my younger years I enjoyed biology, human anatomy and physiology. I was always very artistic and coupled with my love for science and fear of the dentist, I decided to become one myself.

Having qualified in Canada in 1992, I added British qualifications in 1992. Throughout the years I have trained with some of the world’s leading cosmetic dentists regionally and internationally. I've gained extra certification specialisms in smile design, short term orthodontics, implantology, facial aesthetics. In 2014 I was awarded a prestigious Fellowship from the New York-based International Academy for Dental & Facial Esthetics. I also own a successful cosmetic dental & facial clinic in South West, London.

The idea to write a children's story stems from a playful and creative imagination. When my children were younger, I realised there's wasn't anything available as an educational tool to help motive children in a fun way to take interest in their own oral health. Most of what was available was either threatening or lecturing which created the opposite effect.

I also wanted to relieve the painful task of parents feeling burdened to force their children to brush their teeth.

Ideas began to float in my mind and my goal was to eventually write a fun children's dental book. But being a working mother with small children I had little spare time on my hands. It wasn't until I attended Tony Robbins, Business Mastery in Vegas in 2015 did I embark on my journey and I'm so pleased I did.

I believe my book, 'Invasion of the SugarBugs' will reach every child and parent worldwide leading to an oral health movement to help change the negative perception of oral hygiene and dentistry as a whole through entertainment, play and education that motivate and encourages positive change.
