Confessions of a Father 

This Prodigal Son had just turned fifty. By some prolonged metamorphosis, God’s former renegade has been transformed into a successful business professional, happily married, with two teenage kids and a pleasant Midwestern home. My son Noah was busy making plans for college, about to take his first critical steps into adulthood.

Things seemed really good. That’s when I suddenly realized I had failed him as a father. I had spent the past twenty years busy securing my success as a breadwinner, while mostly neglecting his spiritual mentorship and wellbeing. And now Noah was about to leave home and begin a life of his own. I decided to write him a heartfelt letter as my special graduation gift, and for nearly a year, a steady stream of thoughts and feelings poured out of me like a dam inside my soul had burst. This book is the product of that outpouring.
